1.1 Camera & Photo Library Access

  • Purpose: To allow you to capture photos of your venue, dishes, or design elements and/or select existing images from your gallery for use as backgrounds or illustrations.

  • Data Collected:

    • Photographs you take with your device camera.

    • Images you select from your device’s photo library.

  • Storage: Images are uploaded temporarily to our secure servers for processing (see Section 2.2) and deleted thereafter unless you explicitly save them in your user library.

1.2 Textual Menu Inputs

  • Purpose: To transform your text-based menu items (e.g., dish names, descriptions, prices) into visually appealing menu designs using our AI engine.

  • Data Collected:

    • Menu text and formatting preferences that you type or paste into the App.

1.3 Usage & Device Data

  • Purpose: To monitor App performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve features.

  • Data Collected Automatically:

    • Device model, OS version, and unique device identifier (UUID).

    • Crash reports and diagnostic logs.

    • App usage analytics (e.g., which features you use, session duration).

  • Collection Method: Via Apple’s analytics frameworks and our own telemetry.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • AI Processing: We use your text inputs and any uploaded images to generate menu designs via our AI models.

  • App Functionality: Camera and photo-library data enable the creation of custom backgrounds and visual elements.

  • Analytics & Improvement: Usage data helps us identify bugs, measure feature adoption, and optimize the App experience.

  • Customer Support: We may use your inputs and device logs (with your permission) to troubleshoot issues you report.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

  • Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors (e.g., AI-processing services, hosting providers) strictly to perform App functionality. All providers are contractually bound to keep your data confidential.

  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law (e.g., to comply with a subpoena) or to protect our rights or safety.

  • No Selling of Personal Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

  • User-Created Content: Textual menus and images you save in the App remain in your account until you delete them.

  • Temporary Files: Uploaded images and intermediate AI-processing data are purged from our servers within 24 hours of processing.

  • Analytics Data: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics are retained indefinitely for product improvement.

5. Security Measures

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards, including:

  • Encryption in Transit & at Rest: All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and stored encrypted on our servers.

  • Access Controls: Strict authentication and authorization protocols limit access to your data.

  • Regular Audits: Periodic security reviews and penetration tests to detect and address vulnerabilities.

6. Children’s Privacy

MenuGen+ is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us at support@appsera.net and we will delete it promptly.

7. International Data Transfers

Our servers and service providers may be located in jurisdictions outside your home country. By using MenuGen+, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in those locations, under applicable data-protection laws (e.g., GDPR for EU users).

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:

  • Access & Portability: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

  • Correction or Deletion: Request that we correct or delete your personal data.

  • Opt-Out: Disable analytics sharing in the App’s Settings.

  • Withdrawal of Consent: Revoke any permissions (e.g., camera access) via your device’s privacy settings.
